Wang Wentao said that 2023 is the first year to fully implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress. The CIIE has been successfully held for five times, becoming a showcase of China's new development paradigm, a platform for high-standard opening-up, and a public good for the whole world. This year marks the third year of the launch of local investment promotional activities of the CIIE. The activity in Jilin this year is to implement the decisions and plans of the central government with practical actions, enable more exhibits to become traded goods and more exhibitors to spot investment opportunities, enhance the opening-up level of northeastern regions, and better serve the construction of the new development paradigm and the promotion of high-quality development. Based on the unified deployment of the central government and the strengths of China's enormous market, the Ministry of Commerce will continue to improve the quality and level of trade and investment cooperation, and will provide more development, policy and market opportunities for foreign investors. Jilin, as an important window for China's opening-up to Northeast Asia, has a good industrial foundation, unique natural conditions and an increasingly optimized business environment. Wang welcomed more foreign investment in Jilin to explore the Chinese market, and said that the ministry is to keep establishing matchmaking and communication platforms to help local governments find good enterprises and enterprises find good projects.

The whole province is thoroughly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his visits to Jilin, fully implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the two sessions, acting on the "one pillar, six doubles" high-quality development strategy, aiming for the development direction of six new industries and four new facilities, steadily promoting the industry and business development projects, speeding up the construction of major projects, and delivering new outcomes in the development of various undertakings.
