According to the news of State Grid Jilin Power, on March 18, Jilin Province's photovoltaic power generation capacity reached 19.479 million kilowatt-hours, a record high throughout the history, which accounted for 9.35% of Jilin's total electrical energy supply on that day.

In 2022, Jilin achieved 5.19 million kilowatts of newly installed capacity of new energy, up by 51% year on year, reaching over 15 million kilowatts of the total installed capacity, with the production scale exceeding the added sum during the "13th Five-Year Plan". As the debugging and commissioning for new grid-connected systems are gradually completed, and as the spring comes with the temperature fluctuating drastically, Jilin enters a period of great wind power generation. State Grid Jilin Power has successively put into operation 500 kV Longfeng No. 2 and No. 3 Generator Transformers and Xiangyang No. 4 Generator Transformer, further unleashing the capacity for new energy power generation. The Company upholds the idea of priority power generation of new energy, advanced study and prediction, targeted regulation and control, and full consumption of new energy. By fully playing the incentive function of peak regulation ancillary service market, the Company fully promotes the peak regulation assistance for the grid of northeastern China, and it can now support 1.9 million kilowatts of power at maximum. Also, the Company proactively organizes the inter-provincial spot trading by intelligent technical means and scientific and technological innovations and works to build intelligent new energy control system, and it has achieved real-time monitoring and targeted regulation and control on the new energy power generation to improve the capacity for new energy consumption. It is reported that on March 10, the maximum wind power generation capacity of Jilin Grid for the first time reached over 8 million kilowatts, namely 8.202 million kilowatts, a record high throughout the history, accounting for 82.9% of Jilin's total power supply load at the time.

It is also reported that State Grid Jilin Power will optimize the grid operation in multiple ways. By accelerating the commissioning of the 500 kV Changsheng Generator Transformer and the split operation of Zhanyu Generator Transformer, applying the overload capacity of the generator transformers and other means, the State Grid Jilin Power will further develop the capacity for new energy acceptance; strengthen the multiple plant station short-circuit ratio study on the new energy and improve the standard of network coordination to provide effective support for the development of new energy; comprehensively launch the construction of the spot markets in Jilin and build the Jilin special spot markets that enable high-proportion new energy consumption, so as to achieve the high-standard new energy consumption while ensuring the safe and stable operation of the grid.
