The students from Changchun have achieved great results in the "Polar Stars - Polar Bears" Russian International Literature Contest
On March 2, Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office held the awards ceremony of the "Polar Stars - Polar Bears" Russian International Literature Contest. Duan Huaxu, Deputy Director of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office attended the ceremony and issued certificates for the students from Changchun that won the prize in the Contest. Yang Zhongshan, Vice President of Changchun Foreign Language School, led the representatives of the teachers and students to attend the awards ceremony.
In January 2022, the "Polar Stars - Polar Bears" Russian International Literature Contest was successfully held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, an international friendship city of Changchun. This event aimed to organize the creation of literature themed by the polar bears, endangered animals in the Arctic, to highlight young people's views on the nature and cultural values, thereby arousing the attention of the international community to the protection of endangered species in the Arctic.
According to the Organizing Committee of the Contest, the entries are required to be created in original Russian language, and the candidates shall be under the age of 18. Invited by the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Changchun Foreign Language School participated in the Contest. Despite various difficulties such as heavy school tasks and tight schedule for creation, the students successfully completed 42 original Russian literary works using the extracurricular time under the careful guidance and instruction of the teachers of the Russian Teaching and Research Section. After the fierce contention, students of Changchun Foreign Language School created 42 original Russian literary works in total, of which 1 won the special prize, 1 the second prize and 2 the third prize. Other 38 students won the certificate of honor issued by the Organizing Committee.
The "Polar Stars - Polar Bears" Russian International Literature Contest is an original Russian literature contest for the youth from all over the world. The active participation of students from Changchun has made contribution to strengthening the youth literature exchange between China and Russia and promoting the local people-to-people cooperation between China and Russia.
