The 3rd China Jilin International Ice and Snow Industry Expo and 22nd Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Festival Series will be held in Jilin Province from December 2018 to March 2019. The opening ceremony of the Snow Expo and its exhibition activities will be held in combination with the opening ceremony and activity series of the 22nd China Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Festival from December 20 to 24, 2018.

This Snow Expo is sponsored by the Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Alliance of China, guided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and organized by the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Changchun Municipal People's Government and the Tourism Research Institute of China. The theme of the Expo is “Holy Land of Ice and Snow—Gathering in Jilin Province”.

The Snow Expo will be started on December 20 at the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters. The indoor exhibition area is 60,000 square meters for 7 themes and 8 pavilions. The outdoor exhibition area is 40,000 square meters for snow sculpture exhibition, sliding, climbing, snow football field, etc.

It is worth mentioning that ice and snow culture pavilion, the first of its kind, will be opened this year, demonstrating the achievements of cultural industry, art groups, cultural relics, intangible cultural heritages of Jilin Province to the general public. During the snowy season of 2018-2019, more than 40 performing groups, cultural palaces, and art galleries will be coordinated to stage 245 cultural shows. During the exposition, various large-scale ice and snow events and cultural activities will also be organized in different places of Jilin Province to achieve the goal of Week-based Activities, Month-based Highlights.
