According to the requirement of the National Healthcare Security Administration and the State Council on the control and prevention of the COVID-19, Changchun City has been starting from the imperatives of coordinating pandemic prevention and control and socioeconomic development to optimize the nucleic acid testing service at the public medical institutions. The Changchun Municipal Healthcare Security Bureau issued the Notice on Lowering the Cost of the COVID-19 Nucleic Acid Test on November 24. According to the notice, from 00:00 on November 26 this year, the price for nucleic acid testing will be lowered from RMB40 (excluding the price for kit) to RMB40 (including the price for kit), that is, the cost for testing kit will be cancelled. The maximum price for mixed testing of 5 people and 10 people will be adjusted from RMB20 and RMB12 to RMB10. 

The notice also requires all public medical institutions should strictly implement the policy of the COVID-19 nucleic acid testing, and prohibit the behavior of “testing mixed but charged for service of testing for a single person”. In the meantime, it is stipulated that “those just for nucleic acid testing do not need to pay for registration and outpatient consultation fees at the public medical institutions”.
